Completedworks SS26: Objects, Forces, and The Gift

equal-means-equal
For Spring/Summer 2026, Completedworks unveils a collection that treats jewelry, furniture, and objects as survivors of elemental trial. Creative Director Anna Jewsbury draws inspiration from the way wind, water, and time carve their signatures into landscapes, imagining pieces that bear the same resilience. Earrings twist like weather-beaten sheets on a line, while furniture arrives raw and irregular, its surfaces disrupted yet painterly. The collection is defined by a tension between delicacy and distortion, yielding forms that are both wearable and uncanny—gentle complexity born from unrelenting force.
The launch is staged alongside The Gift, a specially commissioned dramatization written by Laura Waldren and starring Jerry Hall. The performance conjures a dreamlike séance in which objects are read like tarot cards, their imagined histories and hidden futures unraveling in the hands of a protagonist equal parts host, fortune-teller, and salesperson. What emerges is both satire and ritual: a meditation on how we assign meaning to the things we surround ourselves with, and how those meanings oscillate between reverence and utility.
In Jewsbury’s world, jewelry and objects are never static—they are shaped by natural violence, communal storytelling, and the oddities of domestic life. Metals meet leather, stones are paired with resins, and vases and trinkets are treated as relics that speak back. Completedworks SS26 does not simply offer adornment; it stages an inquiry into endurance, transformation, and the strange intimacy of living with objects. The result is a collection and performance that blurs theatre, design, and ritual, asking us to consider what happens when the soul of an object insists on being seen.
