BLUE ELEPHANT has officially arrived in LA, opening its first U.S. flagship. The South Korean eyewear brand’s approximately 7,000-square-foot space occupies a restored 1940s building, Founded in Seoul in 2019, BLUE ELEPHANT has quickly expanded across Korea, Japan, and the United States, with the Beverly Hills opening bringing its global store count to 35.
Designed as an immersive interpretation of Los Angeles, the flagship moves beyond the traditional retail experience. A sculptural installation inspired by the typography of “L.A.” welcomes guests, while arches and tunnel-like forms lead into a space defined by layered curves, warm red carpeting, and expansive imagery. Upstairs, the mezzanine channels the glow of an L.A. sunset, reflecting BLUE ELEPHANT’s broader retail philosophy of creating spaces that respond to the architecture and cultural character of each city. The mood gives industrial Blade Runner by way of 90s aerodynamic techno-futuristism.
The opening also introduces BLUE ELEPHANT’s LA Exclusive Collection, a series of ten eyewear models inspired by the city’s vibrant cultural and natural landscape, available exclusively first at the Beverly Hills location. With frames priced at $49.90 and $69.90 across its U.S. range, the brand positions contemporary design at an accessible price point while celebrating individuality through an expansive mix of shapes and moods. More than a new retail outpost, the Beverly Hills flagship is intended to serve as a cultural hub for BLUE ELEPHANT’s growing U.S. presence, with programming and experiences planned alongside its continued global expansion.
