LA’s weather has been so brutally hot that when Buttface invited us we were all too excited to stepped out for a stylish staycation in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles at the Moxy. This bold and creative retreat was well worth it with a corner room that showed off the view with floor-to-ceiling windows displays. The thoughtfully designed rooms filled with customizable peg walls, multipurpose furniture, this boutique hotel, a playful sibling to AC Hotel next door serves as the perfect urban playground for indulgences.

Across from the Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center, Moxy DTLA isn’t just a hotel, it serves as a cultural hub. With the option of 12 dining and entertainment venues, including the Level 8’s rooftop bar and pool deck we grabbed a meal and a drink or three at the AC Lounge. The view was breathtaking as the sun set and being in the sky felt right.
